What we're looking for
Original work across the breadth of breast density and cancer risk assessment. The 12th workshop's session themes are:
- Breast density methods and measurement
- Risk models and validation
- Polygenic risk and genetics
- AI and machine learning in mammography
- Screening policy, access and disparities
- Supplemental and emerging imaging
You'll pick the theme that fits best when you submit. Work that spans several is welcome — say so in the abstract.
Format
- Title: up to 200 characters
- Abstract body: up to 300 words
- Structure: purpose, methods, results, conclusion — results should be present, not promised
What the form asks for
Worth gathering before you start:
- Presenting author: name, email, affiliation (ORCID optional)
- Co-authors and their affiliations
- Title and abstract body
- Topic preference from the session themes
- Presentation preference: oral, poster, or either
- Conflict-of-interest disclosures
- Whether the work has been published previously
Presentation types
You state a preference; the committee makes the final call based on fit and the shape of the program.
Oral presentation
A timed talk in a scientific session, with discussion.
Poster
Presented during the dedicated poster session.
How review works
Each abstract is reviewed by the Scientific Advisory Committee, who recommend it for an oral presentation or a poster. Reviewers abstain on any abstract where they have a conflict.
Abstracts are judged on:
- Scientific quality and rigor
- Relevance to breast density and cancer risk assessment
- Originality of the work
- Clarity of the abstract
